Week 3: Speak
Every day more than 24,000 children die from largely preventable causes and almost all these deaths are in developing countries. This situation can be overcome by improving health systems, but to do so developing countries need assistance. Congregation members can call for this by sending a child's birthday card to their Member of Federal Parliament, reminding him/her of the unacceptable rate of child mortality and urging him/her to increase the amount of aid the Government devotes to healthcare.
